Sorry to crash this thread too, but we couldn't resist! All for the claiming of Maplewood!

The wolves formerly of the Rise relocated and had chosen this forest as their new base of operations. Of all the choices in the area, this was a far better location than a number of others she'd had the displeasure of roaming through. If it had to be north there were worsen places to settle. This would do. At least here plants grew, as was evident by the forest, which meant she could have a worthy garden in no time. Well, weather and seasons permitting. It was perhaps a bit too late in the season to start something new... She'd look into it.

In the meantime, she was scouting for her own selfish reasons. Where in this land would she consider placing a garden? What about her infirmity? Should she even bother consulting with the other wolves who thought themselves healers or just surprise them later after she'd taken all the thinking out of it? Hmm... permission or forgiveness? Screw it. She'd do her own thing, perfect it, and the rest could follow suit. Her garden. Her rules. It would be the way of things when it happened.

Nose to the ground, she sniffed out a few viable locations before her path twisted to fall in line with the chocolate male she'd seen a few times before. He was just inside a little cave and his body language radiated heat. Anger. Frustration. She knew all of those things all too well, and while she was in denial of said things in herself, she was fully capable of recognizing them in others. Silly males. Always so heated about something or another.

"You again," she murmured, announcing her presence. "Stay cooped up in there and all that angst might burn down your new home too." Too soon, perhaps? She didn't know. She was not the most tactful of females, nor did she care about sentiment of any kind. "At the very least come outside where you can blow off all that smoke in the open. Who knows? Maybe it will rain and put you out." She shrugged. It was hard to see the sky through the cover of these trees, but she supposed it could happen.
