Rising Sun Valley and the profit will outweigh the cost

Not much further into the depths of the wood did the ambient din of the world seemingly phase out to him. This happened often with focus, and the very ability to shut out the world around him gave him the perfect opportunity to pick up on the fact that he was not alone. It was more than a feeling than a true realization as the anticipation built steadily; Mordecai thought for certain he would soon have the drop of something that would have been easily caught.

But as it were, the thing that was so easily caught was not prey at all — a low chuff came forth from the undergrowth and following it, was that of a wolf. His appearance gave Mordecai reason to pause, and his steps came to a cautious halt along the overgrown path. He may have looked disappointed for a second but it too was gone in a flash. "See any game in that direction?" he queried with little miss of a beat. Seeing how he had been intercepted, the question seemed fair to ask.

And besides, he hadn't been met with aggression yet.
