Sima had traveled long and far. Miles and miles of traveling had brought her west to the Teekon Wilds, and even more had been trekked through an uninhabited expanse of beautiful valley. Since leaving her home a little more than a year ago and becoming a nomad, she had been casually searching for a companion, a friend, or more preferably, a pack. Until now, she would find none.

An upbringing of peaceful isolation, which she saw as a deathly-boring origin, had driven her to be determined for a journey of adventure and bravery. She despised monotony and would do anything to avoid it. To her, risk and danger were the spice of life, and she would accept nothing less.

A dark-pointed, gray-based wolf with a sturdy, medium frame embodied her as she continued west through the mountains. The pass seemed hazardous, but she had made the decision long ago to continue in the same direction until she found what she sought.

Her paws had callused from constant migration, and for that she was thankful upon seeing the roughness of the rocks. She climbed tirelessly up the incline, and after a few hours into the evening, she came to the highest elevation of the mountain. Hunger gnawed at her; she hadn't eaten in a couple of days. In the distance, she saw the foot of the mountain, and just past that, a flat plateau of woodland. In half the time as before, she made into the forest, but caught the scent of a foreign pack. She twitched her ears. Maybe she could join them?
