The howl went up and the seemingly sleepless polar bear was off, her feet carrying her as quickly as they ever had. Tonravik had called for help and there would only be one reason as to why: the cubs were in danger. Unwilling to let anything so much as look at her leading pairs' children, the white warrior dove on to the scene with teeth flashing with murderous intent. 

Coyotes. A lot of them. The fucking bastards. She had moments to take in the scene and instinctively, she vyed for the one nearest the den. She saw Tonravik in the corner of her eye and Iqniq nearby. Normally, she'd have given him a chance to snag the offending predator but there was much at stake here and the Beta was simply taking action with no thought behind it. Even if she could simply drive it away from the den, he could kill it. Whatever it took. 

Her snarl as she rounded on the next was terrible and thundering. She would let no others get so close.
