The wolves now formerly of the Spine began to settle down. Nanuk did not, instead moving apart from the others to sit just inside the mouth of the cabern and act as sentry. Deep down, she was a protective creature, though she knew that there was nothing she could have done to protect their territory. It was gone and there was little sentiment behind that thought; they would live on together, as they had so far and as they always would. Vagabonds or not.
