Stavanger Bay inspecting the damages

It felt like every moment passing gave the crab more power. It seemed to crunch down harder and harder, but really that was just the pain radiating through her sensitive tongue. Talking had made it worse; it was already inflamed, with the tip turning a dull blue. Charon's response was heard through a fog of pain - but when he moved to help her carry the crab, things started to ease. The weight of the creature hanging from her jaw was no longer an issue, at least for a few feet. All Saskia had to do was smash the damn thing to pieces, and she'd be free.

The first swing - a pendulum motion - caught the crab's curled legs against one of the bare rocks. It wasn't very effective. She tried again, easing her tongue out of her mouth so that there'd be more momentum, and heard the clacking of the crab's smooth armor hitting the stone. The creature did not want to let go! Saskia paused for a moment, overcome by the pain and exhausted by it (having never been in this much pain before, and being a shrimpy little girl after all). 

With a bit more oomph, she tried one final time to smash the crab against the rocks -- and she was lucky in her hit. The crab connected to the stone and the back of its shell crumbled, making a sickening pop; the creature died then, but it was with a look of horror cast at Charon that the girl realized -- it wasn't letting go.
