Pack Event- The Mountains were Groaning

Ayvo had chosen to spend most of his time in the forests surrounding the vale. It was here he felt safest. It was the most familiar thing to the paled male. He last home was all evergreen forests. While it was nice to have a change of scenery, familiarity was also of equal importance. With this most recent boarder patrol nothing seemed unusual. He started out roaming the edges of the vale in the morning then towards the afternoon Ayvo made his way towards the center of the vale sticking to the forests. After his lunch of a small hare Ayvo laid down to take a nap, he hadn't planned on it lasting very long. 

About an hour after he rested his head the mountain that rested on the vale's pack territory made a rumbling sound, likened to that of a growling wolf. Ayvo still in a drowsy state didn't fully understand the sound. With a tilted head he rose and looked towards the mountain. Making his way towards the center of the vale Ayvo started to search for answers. The eeriest part of the whole event wasn't the rumble, but the silence that the sound instilled upon the whole vale. All the animals seemed to be in equal curiosity. Even the trees and the wind dared not to make a sound.
