Rising Sun Valley and the profit will outweigh the cost

From what he knew of foxes, they thrived in the night hours. The darkness afforded them safety. It was a smart tactic for such a small creature, but not something that would save them this night; the trio drifted apart as they scoured their surroundings, intent on discovering and ending those little lives. Riordan was focused - he had listened to the female's introduction when she gave it, but the group began their mission not long after that, and silence was imperative - so now Rio was set in his role. Mordecai moved ahead through the shadows and the other two followed, with Riordan lagging behind them both by a few feet.

When Mordecai slowed to a halt, Rio slipped closer - he didn't make a sound, instead looking to the leader's expression and following his line of attention. The young man dipped his own head in passing along the right, inhaling the scents collected in the reeds, and found what had made Mordecai give pause. With a quick look to both of his hunting companions, he took a chance - adjusting his path in to a wide arc so that he could move around trees while he flanked the strongly scented position.

And in the next moment, chaos ensued.

He came barreling through the dark; first as a freight train of stomping, then of deep, excited barking. A flash of red-orange by his snout was the first indication that Mordecai had accurately tracked their targets. One fox shot out from the bush and directly towards the soon-to-be alpha, while two more pealed off towards Andalusia. Rio was left snapping at another, and mid-assault he gave a baying call. Adrenaline flooded his system - and soon, the fox scrambling for safety would fill his mouth with fur and blood.
