It had only been a couple of days since she had joined the Blacktail Deer Plateau, but she thought she was settling into it easily enough. There were obvious differences between being entirely on her own for nearly a year and suddenly being in a pack again after so long, but they weren’t bad differences. There was one thing, though, that was going to take a while to go away and that was her desire to wander. She wasn’t going to go far, nor stay away for very long because she did not want to give up what she had only just gotten. Setting out, she wasn’t entirely sure which direction she was going to head off in. She made her way along the path that led down the plateau. At the bottom, she paused, letting her lavender eyes scan the area around her. Shrugging to herself, she picked a direction and set off. She figured that she’d probably end up catching something at least on the way back home to add to what she’d already caught for the alphas and their pups. It would definitely be on her way home, though, because she wanted to give herself a chance to explore a bit before heading back. Eventually, she found herself surrounded by trees. A lot of trees. It was a forest that she’d wandered into. Pausing, she sniffed around to make sure that she wasn’t anywhere near the territory of another pack. Once satisfied that she wasn’t, she continued forward, going deeper into the trees. After a little while, she decided to stop and relax. Picking a spot, the two year old female flopped down. Salmon colored tongue lulled out of her mouth as she happily laid beneath the trees in the forest. |
