The way Burke was putting it was flattering. Damien knew there was a lot of potential in himself, he just wanted to rest of the world to see it, and if this wasn't it, then nothing would. He would admit that the deal was interesting, and there was actually no real reason not to accept it. The way it sounded made Damien think that Burke wanted him to learn of leadership. He wouldn't say he needed it, but if it got him closer to take an upper rank Damien couldn't refuse.
