Although bears were far from cuddly, fuzzy creatures, Mees didn't and couldn't understand why the Moonspear pack was so obsessed by them. Also, he didn't know why there were two bears instead of just one. Agression from bears varied from animal to animal but it also depended on the circumstances, having youngsters or defending a territory. Mees couldn't imagine why the bears would stick around though, this pack was swamped by wolf scent – or stench – and not even two bears could fight against a pack of drooling, mad wolves. Bears weren't the smartest – Mees thought – one way or the other, by sticking around.
Still, going on a solo-mission to fight off these bears was both brave and stupid all at once. Mees figured that it was his duty, as newly accepted greenbie and wanna-be advisor, to safe this wolf from perishing against big, bad black bears. As he trailed around the faint scent of bears flared through his nostrils but also the scent of another wolf. He had smelled the scent before, at the borders as a marker, and he could attach a name to it. Ame had said something about Charon but he already forgot that it was the other Alpha. Sometimes a loner's life had left him with poor social skills. Thus, when Charon came into his eyesight, he saw no independent fierce leader. Mees saw just a boy, roughly a few months yonger. And as boy's among each other, he decided to act like one.
”Hey, hey jerk-face.” Said Mees, his voice amicable and kind. Words were said like Charon was 'one of the guys' and the newly accepted Mu trying to be like one. Trying to fit in. ”Are you on a bear hunt?”
