Pardon the digression, I'm still warming back up from a long break!

Curiosity abounded in the pale coated creature; curiosity over many things. Foremost was this incessant interest to know what sort of new land he had come to find himself in. Being an individual where things became very dull to him very quickly, the boy was no stranger to being tossed into new surroundings; nevertheless, Impactus consistently found that the art of assimilating never changed for him. It never changed because he never assimilated. The state of this fresh habitat would come to change to suit his own personal preferences soon enough.

As the formidable male prowled through the skeletal trunks of the pine-riddled forest many resemblances struck out at him, insisting that he compare this lame crop of earth to that of his former home. No matter the geography he came across and the likenesses it shared, this region was still foreign to him, and that was something the analytical canine knew he must remedy.

Which led him to the second most notable thing he was curious about: who the character was he found himself sharing a common space with. On the tendrils of a brief, yet sill chilling winter breeze the warm aroma of life came to him, and not simply that of the many prey species he knew roamed the area. He was not the only canine afoot here, and it was time to find out what kind of stock the wolves of this land were made of. Without upsetting the fluidity of his trek the colorless Impactus directed his course to draw him closer to this fresh face. A certain edgy eagerness took him as he approached, planting a peculiar expression upon his features that could have easily been mistaken for good humor for those who did not know this particular man well. The boy's uncommonly bright cobalt eyes appeared to lunge out at their target of a black-bitten being who was large and not entirely insignificant in his build. A good first impression he noted, but size alone would not charm the cynical lad.

"You there." Impactus called out his voice low, his manners poised, yet not without a hint of the man's characteristically commanding demeanor. What was being commanded though was quite unknown, for Impactus simply stood behind the moving figure and much too patiently for his personality awaited a response.
