Her bawling soon attracted the attention of the Great Puppy Crane, which was quick to swoop down and rescue her from her predicament. Had she been smarter and not so babyish, Saēna might have realized that crying was a really good way to get what she wanted, but she wasn't old enough to take advantage of it. Instead, she fell completely silent as soon as the weight was lifted from her, content to return to her typical routine of lying there and doing absolutely nothing interesting.

She was therefore left out of the Bum Caboose party going on between Osprey and Tytonidae, and was left to experience the unpleasantness of Pura for the umpteenth time by herself. Somehow in the commotion, the spotted girl had found her way onto her back (this suited her well, for she wouldn't have to move), but the choking scent of Pura's flatulence quickly arrested her dismissal of them all. Her nose wriggled vigorously as her head lifted on a floppy neck, seeking out the source of the scent. She always reacted to this one, unaware every single time that the stench was not something fun and new.

Her paws flailed sluggishly through the air and she grunted unattractively, attempting to flip herself over to at last join her cousins and her brother. Ordinarily, she was much too lazy to bother, but that smell was like an adventure all on its own, and Saēna would be damned if she didn't investigate it personally.
