Just as his dark companion chose not to hold grudges, Tev considered that holding grudges against someone indirectly challenging him wasn't wise. At least because he had no real rank, no while he lingered in the youth ranks. There were circumstance to put others in their place lest they forgot where they stood in the hierarchy but Tev had no rank and accordingly no place to do such a thing. For now, he was bound by that chain of thought though if he would continue to think that way or not was unknown. His own father had never conformed to the rules of hierarchy, believing and holding himself to the rank of Jarl even after he'd officially stepped down; and Tev already had issues with remembering his place (not a great habit to start at such a young age, admittedly).

“I'm Tevinter Ragnarsson,” Loðbrok had been a name Ragnar had earned for himself and Tev didn't feel right to claim it as his sire name when he'd done nothing to earn it himself. For now, he was Ragnarsson because that was the traditional way of how the Norse did “sire names”. “but everyone calls me Tev.” Well everyone but Charon. As far as Tev knew his older brother was still stubbornly calling him Jorunn.
