The thought that she might invite this stranger in and see to it that she was fed and briefed had disappeared, and she was starting to understand why Fox was so protective of the borders. Perhaps it was best to let Lecter loose on all newcomers - if they weren't put off and managed not to die, they probably deserved to stay.
