Phoenix Maplewood many men can't see the open road

It was strange to think that Tavi had become so dedicated to this whole pack thing, considering how accidental it was; she had no real sway in the group, no power, no responsibility. Everything was just how she liked it, except that somehow along the way, she had become invested. Really, truly invested in the health and safety of the pack. Granted she knew almost nobody in the group, still. It wasn't like a deep familial connection like her previous home, but it was... Something. 

And Ukko was at the center of that. 

He was the one that got her in, and he was the only reason she stuck around. But now, he seemed to be absent. Tavi ventured along the nearest patrol route between where Saena had made her announcement, and their shared den. As she came upon the den, she expected to find the dark boy lounging in the shade, or maybe having a light nap - he might've been patrolling all night or something. There was no trace of him, though. The den was a gaping hole, empty even after her brief cursory examination, and Tavi felt her heart sink.

Ukko, she thought as a frown creased her features, where are you?
