The probing yielded nothing, but Bazi was not deterred. Lunar was a very chatty wolf indeed, and one to keep on the books. The fact that she had only met two individuals so far was not unusual in the Teekon Wilds, but it did make it difficult to foster loyalty in new recruits.

Bazi concluded the business segment of their encounter with a small barking laugh to complement Lunar's, and swanned towards the gently lapping shores of the lake. "Don't judge a book by it's cover," she said, and leaped straight into the lake with a loud yowl and a huge, messy splash. The ducks had retreated to deeper waters, but nevertheless quacked their displeasure.

Bazi emerged with a gasp some meters out, spitting water and paddling to stay afloat. "I just have a very diligent groomer!"
