Adeline arrived screaming.
If she could speak, she would have said: 'No! This is deplorable! Take me back to warmth! What foul beast hath done this to me?! They will pay!!!!!'
And in baby-screams, Adeline certainly did shriek just that. But she quieted soon after... because she was not cramped anymore, and not being kicked or squeezed or anything of that sort. No. The cold was bothersome but the spaciousness here was what she deserved. These living quarters Adeline very much agreed with, and so had decided that indeed, she would stay in this place.
Soon the cold became much too much for her tastes, however. She began to cry, and make demands to a being she did not know existed. She would not have this, no, not at all! Her cries grew louder, and louder, and louder... until there was warmth at last again. Deeming all well, Adeline moved to place herself atop her brothers. They made a good bed, really... and she reached for a teat above them, and began to suckle.
The milk was sweet, and Adeline hummed. This'll do.
