Birth.
He did not like it.
One moment, he was a happy little sack of fluff and then next, thrust into the cold, the feel of hard earth beneath his breast. And what he would come to know as his mother, did nothing to help. Instead the being loomed over him, he could use what little he had of his scent to realise that this was indeed the thing that had birthed him. He screamed in protest at his current predicament and he did not stop, demanding she put him back where he didn't have to be pushed around by.. whatever these things were that were constantly scrambling above him. No, he was here first and Mother was his and no-one else's. When he realised his fellow beings were also thrusting themselves at HIS MOTHER, he did not hesitate to make his move. His forepaws scrambled above the earth, climbing over his fellow beings to reach Mother.
Whilst he was blind and deaf, he had determination and greedily latched onto his Mother's.. thing. But to find another being already at his place, blasphemy! The fat one had placed herself atop his body, her weight crushing his own. This wouldn't do. He wailed at the top of his lungs, right at this thing he would learn to call his sister. Stupid thing! He moved hastily to push her out the way, taking that moment to embellish his thriving hunger. The warm taste of milk made well in the lack of comfort his Mother was giving. Maybe she did not like him, oh well, he would not like her either then. Infact, he gurgled in discomfort at all of his newfound siblings, which of course, Mother had to know. He struggled against his own weight as he clambered to be closer to his mother, unknowingly reaching her face. He bit down on the closest thing he could find, assuming the warm liquid sprouted out of everywhere from her body. But this thing was hard and not at all pleasant, and he made a hasty retreat back to his original spot at her teat. Unknowingly, this had been Zaria's nose, and unlike her probable bad reaction, he was quite content resting among her fur, and the heat radiating from each of his siblings.
chaos isn't a pit, chaos is a ladder
