The half-mangled wolf softly growled as another wolf came nearby, this one a lot more threatening. "You wander too close to Swiftcurrent." The new wolf said. The golden eyes blinked calmly and hid the sudden fear she felt. "I did not know I was trespassing on your territory. I 'ave never 'eard of such a pack. I did not know zey occupied zis land. You will 'ave to forgive me, Madame." The French-Canadian hissed softly. She rose, staring at the two wolves who stood side by side: packmates. The white wolf, now in the presence of one of her pack mates, lost all of her friendliness and curiousity from before and became threatening like her friend. She said something to the dusky-colored wolf that smelled of Jinx's mountain pack. The wolf looked upset and heart-broken, saying "I thought you were different Bazi." and something else before slinking away.

Erika turned her head straight towards them, letting them gaze at the naked, puckered skin, the darkened scars and bruises. It was all a ruse to get them far away from her. "Non, mademoiselle. I am not 'ere to join your pack. I was 'ere to relax and enjoy ze scenery, per'aps even 'unt ze ducks. But it seems I am not welcome."
