She barely sees the tips of her ears before she slips back down into the trench, obscured from view. Heda does not rush to her side, pivoting all the way back around and taking casual steps back to the ledge and peers inside.

“How do you think you can get out?” she asks then, watching from where she stands. She doesn’t sit and make herself comfortable again and lets the process work through the young girl’s mind. When she figures out the best way, even if it requires an extra hand, is when Thuringwethil will step in and help drag the girl out. But only if she figures it out herself.
