Brother. A term Samuel hadn't heard since he was barely a yearling. He looked down at Gotham with watery eyes, trying to contain his sobs.

Hosannah and Amara had arrived for the last bits of Gotham's life.Amara soothed him with words of peace, Hosannah said nothing.

The life was fading from his ready eyes as the smile from his lips began. Samuel had to force a painful smile as he watched his brother fade with his eyes. He fell limp. But his final request was to be used, and not buried.

He was gone.

Samuel couldn't help himself anymore, he finally let the dam break as tears flooded from his eyes. They ran down his cheeks, creating heavy lines in dark grey.

he lowered his muzzle to nuzzle Gotham's lifeless shell, letting off a soft whine and cry, a plea for him to come back.

He lifted his muzzle, letting out a long and sorrowful howl to signify one of their own had fallen. Their brother had fallen and joined the god, and he would hopefully be there when they joined him later.

"One of our own has fallen, we have lost our brother Gotham"  was his howl.
