The minutes seemed to drag on and there came no eb to the swarm. It would take a while for Harlyn to accept that there would come no end to this anytime soon. They would have to move on, regardless of the locusts that rained down upon them. It would be torture for the children, and torture for the pack because of how miserable they were. But there would be no other option for the little band, and so they would go off into a world that had grown even more bleak and hopeless than ever before.
