Broken Antler Fen I'm a phoenix in the water

Pearl was treading the marshlands carefully, looking for beached fish or targetable prey. There wasn't much aside from underwater greenery, which had annoyingly stayed relatively the same. It was true that she shouldn't even be out and about in her condition, given her tendency to nearly black out whenever she wasn't distracted from the hunger. She then resolved to always keep busy, though really that was more detrimental than she thought. 

Pearl, though smaller to begin with, had leaned out considerably. Her fluffy fur had lost some of its fullness, shrinking her down even more. She could still keep her speed, but a fast metabolism comes at a price.  

She glanced behind her and saw one of the old new wolves, Kareja, with something in her mouth in the distance. Keeping up the happy-leader persona, she smiled at the girl as she approached. "Hey Kareja!"
