Nemesis was not as ignorant as Damien was. And at that moment, she wished she was. Damien could always go back to being Burke's son, but she could not go back to anything. That trust was gone, and it could never be fixed. Damien would not understand this. How could he? They barely knew much about each other, and had once been informal enemies. Their ruling would not be easy, to say the least, but they both had ambition and that conquered doubt any day. Nemesis could not be his voice of reason, but she did not need to be. Both their interests served the Brotherhood, and caution was not what the Brotherhood was made for. "Damien," She acknowledged his presence. She needed to know what to do next, what their next action would be. "I--," She was halted, a feeling came over her, and before she knew it, she was racing towards the den she had condemned without a glance to Damien. Her nose searched for their presence, desperatly trying to hold on to the belife that he had not left her. Their scents were gone, along with the newest joiner. She peeked her head inside, as if they were simply hidden where they could not be seen, but to no avail. She stummbled back, in shock yet disbelief. He couldn't. He had.
"BASTARD!" Damn. Burke really had truly never cared about them. Kendra was still there, unknowing that her father had ditched her for his wench. Burke was a traitor, one that they had failed to see. Nemesis hated him. She hated him with every fiber of her being, every bone in her body, every thought in her brain knew but one thing. She hated that fake pretender, the one that had lied to her face when he said he believed in her, the one that had made her feel like she could talk, only to be stabbed in the back repeatedly. How could he? He left his family, everything, for her. He cast them all away, for her.
"He has left us, betrayed the Night Mother, Meldresi and his true family. I will kill him and his bitch, and their disgusting children, the second he ever dares to show is traitor face in this region again. I will kill him," It was a vow. She had been angry before, but now.. now, she was out for blood. She wanted his fat, dead carcass among the borders, and his childrens hides hung from the trees overhead. "He didn't give a shit about us. A fucking LIAR!" She seen red. She had told him everything, and he just left. Her breaths began to become loud, her anger growing within her like a fire, spreading throughout her body, uncontrollably. She paced infront of the empty den, seeing only the image of Burke dead on the ground. In that moment, she made herself a promise she had never dared to make before, and never so passionatly.

"I will have his head,"
the only way to keep your people loyal is
to make certain they fear you more than they do the enemy
to make certain they fear you more than they do the enemy
