He did not outright make the 'Can I walk you home?' offer but it was heavily implied in the question, enough so that despite that he was not as abrupt with his words — though this tactic was implied to test the perception of who ever he was speaking to always studying even when he wasn't attempting to cure or ease anything — she would, hopefully, pick up on it. Thus far she had shown him no indication that she would not understand the unspoken question and with this in mind he made no attempts to be blunt about it.
