Once the ink-masked woman agreed to the plan, Skellige knew that she would require something of him. Almost as soon as the afterthought had reached his mind, she spoke and he felt himself grow moderately irritated at the predictable nature of his younger sister. Though she was good at the tasks assigned to her, he knew well enough that they would come at a cost. The leviathan was not certain that he was ready to hear what it was that she would ask in return, but the brute knew that he would need information on Ksenia before she managed to rally an attack on him and his wolves. The Blackrock Depths members would not look kindly on him if he were to lead them into an immediate battle. Though there were few who would aid him well, the wraith did not want to risk their lives so early on.

Fixing her with the dark of his gaze, the titan frowned and nodded his head. “What is it you ask of me, Ishild?” the man then demanded. The expression on his face was nothing short of what it always was; brooding and intense, but there was a spark of interest somewhere in the russet colors of his eyes. It was almost as if he could see himself and the girl back on their home islands, and that was familiar. Perhaps it was this reason that prevented him from reacting so harshly toward her. Perhaps it was some semblance of family loyalty; even he did not know.
what would an ocean be without a monster lurking in the dark?
it would be like sleep without dreams
