Hushed Willows i won't let you fall tonight

"Ravens are creepy," she blurted out, nose scrunching up in distaste at the mere mention of the little things.  Their beady eyes, the way their heads darted back and forth in jerky movements - she held back a shudder.  Ravens weren't much different from other birds, really, but it could have to do with the lot of them that hung around over the watch.  And why shouldn't they?  It was called Raven's Watch for a reason.  "But, I'd love to be surprised," she added softly.  As far as she was concerned, whatever Ghost brought her would be exactly what she needed.

His silvery gaze focused just beyond her to the crane feather she'd left peeking out of her tree's roots.  "You're sweet."  It came out as barely a whisper, a small affirmation she wasn't sure was intended to be spoken aloud.  Banner ducked her chin toward her chest and took in a sharp breath.  She'd actually just said that.  To Ghost, a man who by the looks of it had never been called such a thing in his life.  The scars he bore were a testament to that fact.  But.. but to her, he'd been nothing but kind.  Genuine.  Her eyes looked up before her maw followed suit and she met his gaze shyly.

"I.."  Her words began in a more normal voice, but she faltered at the thought of what to say.  Would her mahogany company spend time with her here and then flit off into the night?  The stutter of her heart was all in her head, it had to be.  ".. you aren't going back to that pack, are you?" she managed, the look on her face equal parts concerned and serious.
