Sometimes, She had not talked to Mephala herself, but she had seen the witches, sorcerers and priests of Hags' Fen do so. She herself was barely powerful enough to enter the Void on her own, let alone summon Daedra, or even Daedric Princes. As far as she knew, no one could ever summon Sithis, for he was the Void, and you could not summon a whole plane of existance. For weaker summoners, such as myself, there are specific days for summoning, when the Princes are most likely to hear. Mephala's day is the 13th Day of the 10th Moon. She looked at the boy, wondering if she could ever teach him magic. Herbs were one thing, but spellcasting? Would he have the knack for it, being born outside the reaches of Blackfeather Woods? But I have heard of powerful mages that can summon the Princes any time they would like. The Princes' reaction varies, of course.

She paused again, letting the information sink in. But sometimes the Princes can choose to speak to us, without summoning. Such times are rare, and those who are spoken to are either very worthy or the subject of wrath.
