Tapat was safely sandwiched between his mother and his brother. He was still often kicked by the bigger male next to him, though the pup also realized that he could get some warmth from his brother. The small pale one blended perfectly between the light fur of his mother's belly. He was snuggled up tightly and had his eyes closed. Not because he was sleeping but because he hadn't opened them yet. The small thing just bathed in the warmth the two other's gave. He was very in tune with their scents now. He realized he could use that to guide himself.

He didn't realize that there was someone at the den entrance. Sounds were vaguely coming to him, but they sounded very far away. It was not like he could hear well at all. However he did feel the rumble from the milk-bar and was not sure if that was good or bad. He was sort of curious about it and lifted his tiny head a bit.
