Silver Creek Baby it’s cold outside

At first he appeared shocked, seemingly gasping for breath, and a flood of nervousness engulfed her.  Heston wouldn't leave her, he couldn't, she kept on repeating this in her thoughts, praying that it was true.  For a little bit longer she waited, but then he nuzzled her and she almost sighed in relief.  Heston wouldn't leave her, he wouldn't leave the kids either, he couldn't.  They were a family now.

She listened as he spoke, more than glad to see that he didn't appear to be retreating from this even if he was scared... instead he seemed to be embracing it... and she loved him for that.

Only he had finished did she begin to speak after a moments pause.  "I've been having some of the earlier symptoms."  She told him thoughtfully, "and everything appears fine,"-but it's too early to tell, she added silently to herself.

"This time things will be different," she promised him,  "This time we have each other."
