The abrupt movement set the black and white pup off balance, and she tipped back onto her haunches, forepaws held midair for a split second before she toppled over. She lay there for a long moment, legs working like an upturned turtle's, until she was lifted by an adult and placed next to Towhee once more.

Happy to be reunited with her sister, Orca squealed and promptly burrowed in alongside her. She recognized that they were at the feeding station, but rather than take possession of her own teat, she pushed her snout right next to Towhee's and tried to get a sip from hers.
