"Evelyn, before we go any further, I thought you would want to know more about me." He made a deep sigh. She had told him about her pack. So she deserved to know about his. Then went on. "You know about my mother. And I know about your pack. Well, it's time I told you about my pack...They were killed by another pack, one we were in truce with."

He lifted his eyes to stare right at hers. "I was rather sad, rarely happy till I got to Silvertip, the pack that is now Easthollow. But still that past caught up with me. And even after I sorted it out, there was just something..missing. But now that I have met you, I don't feel like that is missing anymore." He smiled at her, cocking his head a little so one of his ears flopped down toward the earth. "And I just want to thank you for that."
