Turtle Island save yourself

The waves were throttling her as she swam through them. It wasn't as harsh as one might expect - cold, certainly, but as a coastal wolf who frequented the shallows of the sea, Hemithea wasn't as swiftly affected. She came upon the midway point just as the current began to tug at her lithe body. When a voice rose over the din of the whipping waves, the siren paused and bobbed for a moment.

The stranger called again, ordering her to stop - or so she thought - and had Hemithea been aground, she would have pointedly ignored the accented English. Instead she was forced to keep treading water (half spooked by the arrival of the stranger) and then worked extra hard to fight the currents around her to reach the shores of Turtle Island.

As she pulled herself upon its irregular shore, sea water dripped in rivulets off of her snout, her cheeks, the pointed clumps of hair upon her belly. Behind her she whipped her tail to dry it, and in the same motion she writhed snake-like to face the swimming man still watching her.

Her gaze narrowed and she glowered down at him silently, having realized it was a man - not the sea - which had tried to tame her spirit.[/td][/tr][/table]
