Kotake moved after her family, watchful and astute as ever. Her devotion towards her siblings was quite limited, though of them all she seemed to have a preference for Koume. The brothers she had been given were a nuisance, and Kotake only heeded them when she must. In her youth, when hierarchy was not a thought in her head, she kept largely to herself and simply watched others, listened. She had yet to even speak her first word (that she had enabled any other to hear), though when felt she was alone she practiced.
Kotake was but a child, though her instincts were becoming more prevalent by the day. She was fortunate to turn around just as Ganondorf made a bid for the most accessible of appendages (for him, from where he stood). Kotake would not let her silence be confused with subservience—and so she turned as she parted her jaws to (attempt to) meet her brother head on without so much as a snarl. Her ears thrust forward, and her eyes bore the severity of her wrath toward any that might think to put their fangs upon her. She was intolerant, and her patience did not extend toward the road of disrespect. She would not ever have this be a mystery. For the first time, her plume flagged over her hindquarters in a display she could only feel from within. This was she exuded, expressed.
