For some reason he was persistent. If this was a test from the Mother, Hemithea was perplexed by it; she knew that as a man this wolf was beneath her, but he did not act like the men that she was accustomed to. He was bold. He followed her, spoke openly, and did not take the hints that her behavior and posture provided. Either he was being purposefully dense, or he was a lonely stranger eager to make a friend.

(Or maybe both.)

When he came up behind her, she stopped and turned to regard him again with her angry, narrowed gaze. It was hard to tell if Hemithea was always pissed off or if her eyes were just naturally slanted in such a manner as to suggest irritation; at the moment she was irritated by his cheerful pandering, but as she did not know how to speak in his language, she could only glare at him until he went quiet.

Then, taking a sharp breath of cold air, she responded: Γιατί με ακολουθείς? Μην έχετε κάτι καλύτερο να κάνει? It wasn't like she was oblivious to his language; she knew how to understand it, but did not practice often enough when she was growing up, so she could not speak it fluently. If he was an outsider then this would be the easiest way to test him.
