There was a brief moment of hesitation before she obeys, the most minute of things. But Kotake does obey, without complaint. Her mistrust would likely be forgotten, but in the moment her eyes linger on her mother with a hint of idle suspicion. She was young enough that the incident this day would largely be a blur. She moved toward Damien for a moment, seeking to weave through his legs... and then decided she was tired. Stubbornly, Kotake lay down between his forelegs, her eyes shifting between Potema and Atshen. Her tail began to beat idly against the earth. Tired though she was, Kotake had lived. Today was but another adventure. That she might have died had not occurred to she who knew nothing of death or dying.
