Born into the colder seasons, Rose had been exposed to little of nature's beauty. Dead leaves and bare trees were about all she could remember from her early childhood, with everything else being left in a blanket of white. Not that it was a bad thing, but after a while snow had gotten rather dull. It never changed, was always cold, and to someone with fur as bright as fire, it was also terribly annoying. Having only ever know the cold, Rose had always assumed that there were no other seasons. However when the first signs of spring decided to peek out behind winter, well they instantly captured the girl's attention.
Warmth and a sense of serenity was something entirely new to the girl and she was captivating by the blossoming of spring. Robins had become particularly interesting to Rose, their songs comforting her while she made her way further south. Their feathers were no less beautiful than their voices and the girl had made it a hobby to pick them up when she was fortune enough to come across one. Even now she had several feathers secured in her jaw while she made her decent up the vaguely familiar mountain, her eyes peeled for anything else that stood out against the light brushing of snow.
