There was a lot she expected, but not the kindness imparted to her by the matriarch. Beyond finding it so surprising (as she anticipated disappointment maybe, or chastisement, maybe some mothering for her tantrum), she found herself to be undeserving of it. Nobody knew of the impact the event had on Hemithea; perhaps not even Hemithea herself, but certainly not the rest of her sisters. That they spread rumors about her vile spirit, about the Mother abandoning her, only served to sever her connection to the rest of them.

And then there was Akantha. Her open admittance - putting what was in the past to rest, for she cared little for what Hemithea's past was comprised of - lifted some of the weight off of the girl's shoulders.

She watched the cavern floor with her angry-sea-blue gaze; they were black like pits with the shadows cast around the pair of them. Then, with a sigh, she stated: Alright. If she was to survive then why not do it under Akantha's reign? Perhaps Hemithea could make a name for herself here — start over. It was worth a shot.
