Salish had not yet strayed beyond the main island to explore those surrounding it. It had taken a bit to familiarize herself with this one alone, but not much time passed before she found herself entirely comfortable in her new life, her new home. However, she knew that as an aspiring Scout, she would need to get accustomed to branching out, as well.
She had returned from the mainland a few days ago, on the same day that she had crossed the sandbar to visit the coast. Wanderlust was creeping back in, thus the tawny girl decided that today was the day to tour some of the smaller islands. The very first one she reached was occupied by another sister, the pale-furred woman whom she had only seen at the pack formation ceremony. Hemithea seemed... scarce. Salish did not see her around as much as some of the other women. Nevertheless, her tail wagged at a swift pace as she trotted along the sandy shore, her smile merry and bright.
"Hello, Sister," she greeted. "Are you looking for something to eat?" From her demeanor and the way that she moved, Salish guessed that Hemithea was searching, and further assumed that it was food she sought. That was the most likely possibility.
