she travelled on, even as the sky above her darkened and night cast it's shroud over the land. soon, came stars- they seemed especially bright tonight, yet for a while the woman ignored them. parallel to the mountains did she travel, not wanting to breach them just yet. tomorrow she would set her sights back to the Bypass- not home, but simply a place.
finally, did she pause, near a lake, and saw in its stillness the brightest of stars reflected. slowing, she moved closer to the edge of the barely rippling water, the absence of wind meaning that it did not work itself into a frenzy. up to the stars did she glance, watching them. she appreciated beauty, the woman, and this ranked high on the things she had seen in her life.
