One of Tacita's biggest issues since leaving her natal pack was figuring out how to join another. Of course, she knew to find the borders and summon the leaders so that she could state her case, but that was always difficult considering that she was a full-time elective mute. At one point in her life she'd been able to flip a switch and speak as if it were nothing, but now that her voice had become so under used, speaking was uncomfortable, if not downright painful. 

Tacita paced back and forth on the border as she tried to think of a plan, but when she found that nothing came to mind, she thought that maybe she should just walk away while she still had the chance. That being said, she probably would have died from starvation if she had left, and that thought alone was enough to pull a scratchy howl from her chest.
