He smiled as she promised she'd howl and then thanked him for caring, though that was something he didn't need thanks for at all. His smile was promptly followed by a yawn, for which he turned his head away from her so as not to seem rude. Shaking his head, he looked at her a little sheepishly and said, "I guess I'd better head back to bed." He'd had a busy day and tomorrow would likely be just as busy, so he needed to get some sleep. "Let me walk you back to your den, maybe?" He at least wanted to be sure she got there safely, even if she chose not to go back to bed immediately.
