He enjoyed the story. In particular, he enjoyed watching Blue Willow tell it. The way she prowled around, engaging and thrilling the puppies, the changing tones of her sweet voice as she changed it to match the emotions of the story. He loved watching her with the puppies, and couldn't help thinking of the possibility that one day she might be telling stories like this to his own children. Perhaps children that they had together. Only time would tell. But for now, he was enraptured by her, and he felt ever more of his heart entangled around the beautiful she-wolf.

He wished he knew more stories, truthfully. He didn't have much to contribute here. He was displeased to see that Junior was falling asleep, but as young as she was, he wasn't surprised. Kids did what kids wanted to do. He saw Pura grinning smugly at the sight of O.J. passing out, and he cast a conspiratorial grin to the young grey boy. And he was glad when he saw Saēna return to them, giving her a big smile to encourage her to enjoy herself.
