Redhawk Caldera Fishing and Gossiping

Silence fell between the two hunters, save for the sound of the water lapping gently around their legs. Elwood focused on the clear creekbed in front of him, his nose pointed down and ears pressed forward. He didn't so much as twitch his tail. With their similar coloration and size, he and Sebastian likely resembled matching statues, at least from a distance.

There was a splash from downstream and Elwood glanced over with a slight movement of his head to see that Sebastian had seized an opportunity. When the ripples cleared and Sebastian had righted himself again, Elwood smiled at sight of the plump fish clutched between his jaws. He resumed his concentration as his friend stepped out of the water and onto the riverbank to finish off his catch.

A few seconds later, Elwood had his chance. He moved quickly, plunging his muzzle into the stream. Water flooded around his snout and he exhaled to keep it from filling his nostrils. His teeth closed around his target, and he withdrew a moment later with his own fish, smaller than Sebastian's but food all the same.
