It had became rapidly apparent that Jace and Ferdie’s followers didn’t care if their leader(s) were mentally ill, dangerous, and in the inky pirate’s personal opinion, not nearly man (er men) enough to admit to their crimes but rather continued to cry the innocent and poorly treated victims in the scenario when according to Fox and Bazi
they weren’t. Ferdie attempted to appeal to Njal in the same way that Njal had wasted his breath on the two females who had gathered to the men’s defense by trying to compare his situation to one using Tuwawi which weren’t, as far as Cutthroat could tell, even remotely similar. It was the most pathetic string of excuses that fell from Ferdie’s lips that Cutthroat had ever heard in his life. Accordingly when Ferdie went on to
blame Fox for his mental illness; as if Fox really had any way to cause or
cure his own scrambled brains, Cutthroat bristled in the fire kissed Creek alpha’s defense, lip curling back over his teeth. That was the lowest point in which Cutthroat could see.
Blaming someone else for Ferdie’s own messed up problems.
Cutthroat felt the need to stick up for Fox because she had spared his life when she really had no reason too as soon as she realized that he was of no use to them as far as getting Bones back went.
Cutthroat almost let the snort he’d been holding back slip from his black, leathery nostrils but ceased it’s progress at the last moment when Ferdie stood there and pompously threw it about that the Creek wolves saw them as a threat. Right. Like a nearly full, longer established pack actually saw …what four wolves (as far as Cutthroat could tell; if there were more of them they were awfully lazy to not even bother to respond to Jace’s howl)…as a legitimate threat. It was a funny thought. However, he didn’t get the chance to laugh because Njal commanded that they were leaving and finally the inky pirate let out a soft snort of amusement before he followed after the Russian beta wondering if the Sunspire wolves were just stubborn or idiotic, or both.
