"I didn't sneak anywhere!" came Burr's response, which unlike Raven's, was exceedingly defensive. Hell, he was a kid, what did he know? The truth was, he hadn't really been utilizing all of his senses properly. He relied on his eyes far too much and paid too little attention to what his nose and ears told him. Had he been thinking more like a hunter, like a predator, Burr would have noticed Raven a lot earlier and saved both of them a mild heart attack.

"I forgot, okay!" he said, exasperated as he flung himself down on his hindquarters. That helped a little with the whole world-spinning-heart-racing-dry-mouth situation, though it significantly lessened the impact of his dramatics that he couldn't storm off. It wasn't really in his heart to do that anyway. He peeked at Raven across the way, stubbornness writ in every line of his face, and blinked away when he spotted her vibrant yellow eyes again. Everyone in his family had yellow eyes, but none quite so bright as hers.

"Why are you sleeping there anyway?" he had to ask, because after all, "these forests are haun-haunted and you'll get a curse put on you and you won't be able to cure it, ever." Or, well, so his imagination told him.
