she'd been absent.

the closer she got to home the more she chided herself.  how dare she not tell anyone where she'd gone, even if she hadn't quite intended to be so long?  yet when she stepped into the borders of the teekon wilds (and subsequently also the borders of the place she once called home) her anger dissipated and a fear settled in.

how could she face him?

any of them, really, but the disappointment and probable anger of her the ashen prince frightened her the most.  she had no excuse.  she hadn't even wanted to leave but thought it would nice to take a stroll outside and then everything crashed down upon her, just like the world seemed wont to do.

but she carried on, albeit with a persistent limp and sharp pain in her side from the jagged tears left by previous captors, towards the heart of the forest and steeled herself.  whatever it takes, right?  she'll survive this.

she just didn't know if they would.  she steels herself and raises her maw to the air, choking before she lets out the call.
