When Lasher seemed amused, Peregrine's frozen features morphed into laugh lines of his own. "Well, I'm not personally acquainted with any of them but my brother does live here and all Redleaf-DiSarinno males are well-endowed..." His eyes danced as he ran with the joke. He wondered what Atticus would make of his brother cracking homoerotic jokes.

For some reason, this thought made his insides shrivel a bit and his laughter quietly died. Then he considered Lasher's remark and he felt oddly flattered that the other wolf did not go around offering his services to any handsome face. Peregrine couldn't imagine why it mattered but it pleased him nonetheless.

"No other dudes have caught your eye then?" Peregrine asked, perhaps a bit solicitously.
