You'll like them, she assured him. She nodded when he mentioned his parents, knowing of them. She tried to remember him, but it seemed to be a blur. Her eyes widened when he said he had been kidnapped.

She remember, then, some of the chaos that had ensued when he'd gone missing. But, she had been a lot younger then, and hadn't been in the middle of things. She almost asked him what happened, but she worried that would be rude. Instead, she said, Well, I'm glad you're back. Are you okay? She hoped it would be okay, and not too intrusive, to ask about his wellbeing.
